Kite Expo, Hood River, OR - 2010

I got to see most of the 2011 kite gear at Kite Expo 2010 in Hood River, OR this fall. Some of the highlights included Slingshot's new graphics some of which include random paint squished on a sort of Jackson Pollock pattern. Slingy is also sourcing most or their wood from the Hood River area. F–One has chopped the wing tips on their Bandit and added another kite to their lineup-the 2-line SUP kite Source. They also introduced a new much thinner fin for their boards and now offer a one-piece aluminum bar. Axon had some nice looking decks as did Nobile. Most of the brands making surf kiteboards are using the trendy new material bamboo.
