Klawock is one of the alrger towns on Prince of Wales Island (POW), which is to say, very small. The totem tradition is alive and well here though and i ran across a local master carvers totem grave yard. The green/blue color was imported by the cannery for painting their walls and the leftovers were scavanged for totems.
